Motion Design Portfolio

I’m Justin Mays, a motion designer, team leader, and multidisciplinary artist with more
than 15 years in the industry. Based in Los Angeles, I’ve built my career working with
some of the world’s most respected studios and brands.

My expertise covers the full spectrum of motion graphics, animation, and visual
effects, from concept through delivery. I’m fluent in industry-leading tools: Cinema 4D,
After Effects, Redshift, Octane, X-Particles, and Adobe Creative Suite. I also integrate
AI-assisted creative platforms like MidJourney, ComfyUI, and Kling.ai into my
workflow. Whether leading teams or working independently, I bring a mix of technical
depth, creative intuition, and storytelling focus to every project.

Beyond motion design, I pursue a fine-art practice creating fluorescent acrylic glass
works, shown at curated exhibitions. This studio practice informs my design work,
giving my motion projects a tactile, energetic edge.

Outside the studio, I’m a family man who finds inspiration in skateboarding Venice
Beach with my kids, soaking in the LA sun, or traveling to new destinations with my
energetic family always wanting to see and experience the world.
